Wiltshire County Show and Barbury Castle International Horse Trials

About: This show has a great range of attractions to suit a range of interests. As well as displays and demonstrations from Wiltshires agricultural and craft industries, there is a festival of food (complete with demonstrations and testing!) and, to top it all off, the whole thing runs alongside two days of the International CIC*** horse trials. This great venue has all the excitement, shopping, food and horses that you would expect from Badminton, but with less crowds to fight through, meaning you can enjoy your day without having to fight for your place.

About: Search for a Star, with categories for most areas of showing, aims to encourage amateur riders to produce their horseso a high standard, and gives them the chance to compete at the finals at Horse of the Year Show. The Racehorse to Riding Horse Show Championship was created to support and encourage the re-education of thouroughbreds taken out of racing for the show ring. (The series is supported by the charity Retraining of Racehorses, RoR)

About: The Longines Royal International Horse Show is the official show of The British Horse Society and one of the most prestigious events in the equestrian calendar. It's the only competition where spectators can see the British team compete on home turf, and the pressure will be on for the Brits to capitalise on their gold-medal success of last summer in Greenwich.
The New Forest Show

Norfolk Polo Club polo festival

About: The fast moving two day event will provide spectators with the opportunity to watch "the sport of kings" in a wonderful setting, whether in a VIP marquee or in a more informal picnic setting. Each day of the festival holds five competitive polo matches. Saturday culminates in a high-goal Exhibition Match, with guests in the VIP area being able to enjoy dinner and dancing after the match. The Sunday is finals day, with a prize giving for the successful team.
