British-bred dressage star put to sleep

Posted in News

Oldenburg stallion Donnersong, previously ridden to success by Carl Hester, has been put to sleep aged 22.

The flashy, bay, grand prix stallion was retired to stud in 2003 and continued to be ridden by his owner-breeder Kate Carter.

Known at home as ‘Otto’, he was a popular horse in the arena and at stud, and will be sadly missed by the equestrian community.
