Chris Hunnable, Chair of the BE Sport Committee, says: “This is a very exciting development for British Eventing. There will be two finals, held at the Blair Castle and the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials, so that riders who qualify have the opportunity to compete in a final without having to travel the length of the country. For those contesting the Northern Championships next summer, they will experience the added bonus of being a part of the European Championships Event.”

Details are still being finalised but competitions will take place throughout the year, including during the winter months. The qualifiers will be held across the country, some will be at BE affiliated events, others will be where similar competitions are already being run. Classes will run at BE90 and BE100 level, thereby bringing the opportunity to compete at two of BE’s premier Championship venues to a wider audience.

It has been agreed that the top three in the similar level classes at the Baileys JAS Finals will qualify for these Championships.

Further details will follow in the near future.
