Description

Mary King has been a linchpin of British Eventing for more than 20 years. Notable career highlights include six Olympic Games, with team silver in Athens 2004, team bronze in Beijing 2008 and culminating in team silver at London 2012. Also three World Championships, including two team golds at The Hague in 1994 and Kentucky 2010, and seven Europeans including team gold at four. Mary has won Badminton twice – in 1992 and 2000 – as well as Burghley in 1996 and has been British Open Champion four times. These milestone moments are the result of a polished management and training system that has seen Mary eclipse her peers over and over again. As a result, she has become one of the world’s most successful – and most popular – event riders. For the first time, Mary opens her doors to exclusively reveal the formulas she uses on a daily basis and how they apply to every aspiring equestrian – from the working rider enjoying the grassroots levels through to those dreaming of representing their country. A well-run yard equals a happy team and that leads to successful horses. In ‘Mary King – My Way’ discover the secrets of Mary’s training success and how her methods can set you on the road to achieving your goals – from buying an event horse to educating them on the flat, introducing showjumping, tackling their first cross-country fence and preparing them for their first British Eventing event.
