Beach riding

Is there an access group that needs your help or a bridleway that needs attention? Maybe you just need help getting your horse past post boxes...

Beach riding is fantastic. It had always been something I really wanted to do.
My friend and I hired a lorry from a company called Rent Right.
We went to Holkham in Norfolk. The moment I had a canter on the beach I actually cried with emotion as my childhood dream had come true.....what a saddo lol

I've ridden on the beach at Wells in North Norfolk.

It was absoutley amazing and I had such a fantastic time!

I was riding a little 13.2hh Exmoor X called Welly and was riding with his owner and her blue roan mare, Rhona. Poor Welly couldn't keep up as Rhona was 15hh and a bit fitter than he was! He tried his little heart out though, bless him!

Check out the beach riding thread on this forum - there are a few more suggestions there.

I've never ridden on the beach either but I'd love to and it's on my list to do! In a couple of years once my pony is older we shall definitely be heading down to the beach for a gallop along the sand and a paddle in the sea!
