The first pony I ever rode, when I was five, was a little strawberry roan (I think! It was years and years ago!) called Sunshine. She was 32 years old and belonged to a lady called Mrs Gregg who ran a riding stables just outside Batford in Hertfordshire. I think the stables were in a road called Sauncy Wood - does anyone know it and if it's still there?
