I used to love reading the books by Patricia Leitch. Stories about a girl called Jinny and her chectnut Arab mare called Shantih. Has anyone heard of them?
Im even thinking of buying some again just for the memories!!

I loved Sheltie the Shetland Pony, best books ever!!!

I was lucky and had all my mum's pony books she had and i read the 1972 pony club annual aswell!

Yes I remember Jinny and Shantih! The book I had had a pic on the front with a really 70s looking girl with long red hair down to her waist on some kind of Yorkshire moor, stroking her chestnut Arab. That is literally all I can remember about it though....

Aw :') love horsey fiction. im 15 and still go read the Jinny stories :'D my faves are 'the phantom horse' series? I think they're out of print now but I have managed to hunt some down via tack sales etc. They're about a girl and her brother, she has a palomino who she tamed, does anyone else remember them? I think they're really good, even if they are set before my time!!!! :)
