Pony Club

My daughter is 7 years old and is just learning to ride on a borrowed pony. Is she old enough to join the local pony club? She is only just off the lead rein, will they have rallies at a suitable level for her?

Hi,

Age-wise she's old enough to join but not sure what level rallies usually are. Your best bet is probably to get in touch with your local branch and ask them as I'm sure each area is different. Great fun though!

Hey, my pony club has groups for rallies eg blue, pink, red and purple.
The youngest kids on/off lead riens (going over poles and just starting comps etc) all go together. Its mostly organised by age and every year they go through and move people up/down depending on how well they are improving/confident they are.
There are people as young as 4 and everyone is really understanding and if she isn't sure there is no pressure for her to do parts of the lesson or just have a wee go !
:) hope this helps :)
