Mountain and morrland classes

Postby Ellie mare » Sun Jul 03, 2011 7:45 pm

I own a registered 15.2 connie cross. Is she eligible for mountain and moorland classes at local level? Would she have to be shown unplaited even though she's part bred?

I would get in contact with the show secretary for whichever show you are thinking of and ask them. Possibly not, because she is a part bred. But ask them anyway. You would probably be better entering her in another class, such as riding horse or small hunter for example - depending on what she is crossed with and how fine/heavy she is.

Im not sure about turnout, however. I possibly would edge more towards plain and workmanlike (no coloured browbands etc).
