Boots and Bits ?

Postby mouse » Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:42 pm

Ok, i've started to do a lot more xc recently and there are some hunter trials comings up which i am going to enter. Does my pony need boots of any kind ? I've been told i need tendon boots but im not sure if they are really need. Also, she gets quite strong and i find it hard to hold her. At the moment she is in a snaffle and flash; I would like to get a slightly stronger bit but im not sure which one. Im steering clear of pelhams and that as we had a nasty experience with a pelham. Any advice is welcome ! Thankyou x

Hi Mouse,
I'm not sure if my response is correct, and I suggest you re-post within the bitting section of ask the experts as you will get the perfect advice there. Have you considered a Cheltenham gag and drop noseband?
