No representation from South America?

I didn't see many entries from South America this year.

Was there some kind of political tom foolery from Argentina this year or was it coincidence or a matter of funding for horse transport?

There's lots of other sports they have entered so nothing to do with politics. They are definitely entered in football and hockey! Maybe too expensive to bring horses over? Or maybe they'd rather just play polo?
