DDFT injury

Postby jenn » Tue Nov 13, 2012 2:27 pm

My boy suffered an injury to his deep digital flexor tendon some time ago. After prolonged rest (2 years) he came back into slow work this year. After just introducing some light canter work I noticed he was feeling that leg. Vet visit seems to indicate his previous injury causing him problems. he seems sound at walk and canter, but is nodding lame at trot, particularly on hard ground. Do you think he will ever be able to be ridden again - is it right to continue to ride him just at walk?
