I ride in a dutch gag, on the first ring below the main big ring. My horse often opens her mouth and pulls against me when I try to steady her back. A flash noseband doesn't seem to help. She schools beautifully at home, but ignores my same aids to steady down out hacking in canter with others. What about a pelham with double reins? Would she just lean on that?
