Raising head

Hi there,

A friend of mine has asked me if I can ride her pony and try and bring her on a bit, for a few months as she doesn't have the time. I was ridding her today in the trot and canter she lifts her head....alot, I've tried shortening her reins but doesn't seem to help, only pulls me forward.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
