Community guidelines

1. Hurrah! We love talking about horses. The focus of the forum is horsey related issues –passionate debate is great, but meanies will not be tolerated.

2. Think before you press the publish button. Your words may be available for anyone to find for a long time - the web has a very long memory. If in doubt, be nice!

3. We will remove any content that may put us in legal jeopardy, such as potentially libellous or defamatory postings, or that which is posted in potential breach of copyright.

4. We may remove any posts that are obviously commercial or otherwise spam-like. We frown on commercial entities passing themselves off as individuals.

5. Keep it relevant. If you post something which is completely unrelated to the original topic then it may be removed, in order to keep the thread on track.

6. And remember ... tone of voice - sarcasm, humour and so on - doesn't always come across when using words on a screen.

Be aware that you may be misunderstood, so try to be clear about what you are saying, and expect that people may understand your contribution differently than you intended.

Horse&Rider readers are lovely people and we’re sure everyone will show each other respect and consideration, even when they have different views. Enjoy!
