Arthritis
Hi, My horse was diagnosed with arthritis last week in her hocks. Yesterday she had the injections. Think it was cortisone. I just wondered if anyone else's horse has had these injections and how much you paid. I had an hefty bill and would like to compare. Thank you.xx

Re: Arthritis
Friend had it and not sure how much but she said frightening - she also had irap and tildren. I know the tildren is over £400 and the steroid another used was £150 an injection.
I was told only way injections get my horse sound (in her knees) would be cortisone evfery 3-4 weeks at £150 this wasnt feasible so danilon and management was our only option and she was okay on one day (not super just okay) but now she is fab on herbs alone in all paces and even did a leaping kermit impression in the wind yesterday and is coming onto the bit powering along better than she did before!!

Re: Arthritis
A mix made up by herbalist in eng I get posted over here as recommended by a mate in same position as me. This lady and her hubby dev it for her mare with chronic arthritis and do other mixes and for dogs and humans.
Not advertised, only take on clients by word of mouth as just the two of them cos she wouldnt sell her recipes to known companies as wanted her to change herbs used! They are flat out sadly but any good herbalist will make up mixes using willow, meadowsweet, devils claw, rosehip etc but you need it done by a expert as the amounts and compatibility of herbs matter alot xx
