Have you tried Shires? I think they are pretty reasonable. If you can't find them in a tack shop maybe you can order online and return them if they don't fit? My boyfriend has a really nice pair I got from a horse trials last year - they're Mountain Horse and were mid-price I'd say. Sounds like a good excuse to go to Badminton?

I can recommend the Mark Todd range. Really reasonable and excellent quality. If you run a search on the internet I am sure you will find a stockist near you.

Yes try Tesco direct! Can't recommend them enough! If he really takes to it he can buy more expensive stuff then. They do a good range for men.

I have also found it hard to find stuff for my self.
Although I use ingatestone shop for boots etc but as for bottoms and tops hardly anything realy and realy pricey.
I don't like buying stuff online as I like to try be for I buy haha
my first pair of jobs were gals ones as I wanted Jean style ones and wasn't paying loads of money lol no one ever knew they weren't mens

Robinsons Equestrian have had some excellent deals recently, i found my bf some breeches for £18. for boots and helmet however we will need to try a few on. i outfitted a friend at a county show recently and we are heading for Horse of the Year show to look for kit for him. to find a selection of traders big events like that are fantastic.
