Horses in Menorca

Hello, I am going on hol to Meno riding-wise and shows - also non-horsey, any things I should see and do?

Also are there must-go-to restaurants?

I have just found out that I am going to the hippodrom (trotting races) and visiting the Club Escola Menorquina which is a Spanish horse disply (like the Lipizzaners I think). Anyone seen these?

I Have heard that Menorca is meant to be very beautiful with stunning beaches - see if you can go on a sunset beach ride!

Well, I went to Menorca and it was (weirdly and surprisingly!) a fab horsey mecca! They LOVE their horses out there and even have their own special breed - the Menorcan Horse. Picture the most stunning friesian, slim down the bone and you have the Menorcan Horse. They are simply beautiful. I was lucky enough to ride a black stallion, the horse of people's dreams and it was amazing.

As I said before there are the trotting races, the equestrian shows which are almost weekly, and the fiesta where the Menorcan Horses perform their show. A must-visit!
