Which top is best?

Postby Dottyspotty » Thu May 12, 2011 2:39 pm

I want to buy a nice, long-sleeved undertop to wear under gilets when I have my dressage lessons. I keep wearing worn-out old jumpers and t-shirts but I always feel scruffy. I don't want to spend a fortune. Are there any materials, styles or brands that you recommend?

Hi Dottyspotty!

Last year, in our September issue, we did a Technical Tops tried and tested, which included some lovely long sleeve tops that were great for wearing under gilets for lessons. You can see the reviews online, here: http://www.horseandrideruk.com/article.php?id=1063

My advice would be to look for something made of a lightweight breathable fabric and work your way on from there according to your specific needs. You would be amazed at what technical abilities tops have these days, from UV protection to temperature regulation, you can get it all. Good luck with your search and let us know how you get on!
