Should he not be here??
Well at a nearby yard theres this pony and he's retired at 34 but I keep worrying about him. He's a companion but he's prone to lami, got Cushings and, completely deaf and only has one eye. Should they put him to sleep, as when I look at him he never seems truely happy.

I think it's up to the individual owner as to when they think their pony has had enough. So long as he's not in pain, can eat and seems okay, then I see nothing wrong with it. After all, you aren't looking at him 24/7 so how do you know if he's happy or not?

Then in that case I'd leave him be. I'm sure the owner knows best.
