Can I have more than one, or one for every day? My horse, who is a bit of a rescue case and can be very reserved, nickered to me yesterday. A big, deep, wide-nostril, hiya-lady nicker. Previously, he has only managed to flutter his nostrils at me, but wasn't brave enough to make any noise. Heart officially melted.

Last night I rode the mare I am bringing on and managed to get her all the way to the gate without her napping. Sounds silly, but I shed a tear! I have spent most of the last few weeks pinned up against the fence or facing the opposite way, so it was a huge achievement for both of us.

Galloping flat-out across a field after a pack of hounds who'd picked up the scent of the drag. I glanced behind me and all I could see was the rest of the hunting field eating my dust! Exhilarating.

Yes, we definitely need one for each day I think! I rode my horse last night and did some jumping, which may not sound like much but I have been terrified of jumping for a couple of years now. We put up a cross pole, and some raised trotting poles.

Had a fantastic session and when I checked the height after we finished - the cross pole was 2'6! And we cantered over it as well. It truly reminded me why I bought him, and why he will never leave.
