Smart looking boots with a snug fit that became comfortable after a few wears. Good height that didn’t catch on the back of the knees. The full-length side zip was great for getting the boots on and off. Didn’t leak. The sturdy top popper prevented the zip coming undone and has stood up well to regular use. Cushioned footbed is great for long days on your feet. The tread offered superb grip in all weathers. More expensive than I’d usually go for, but they have great features and keep your feet warm and dry, so warrant the price tag.

Light and flexible, they offered a great fit despite not being adjustable. Provided plenty of support. Really impressed with the warmth as I usually suffer with cold feet. The footbed was so comfy and springy, great for long-distance walking and prolonged use. They grip well in muddy conditions and the heel feels solid and balanced. Showing no signs of wear. Easy to slip on but can be harder to get off. Well worth the money if you’re planning on wearing them regularly for long periods of time and suffer from the cold.

Comfy boots with a supportive fit around the ankle, which prevented them from pulling off in the mud. Very robust around the heel and toe. True to size fit. Bulkier than some boots but provided warmth and protection. The tread provided decent traction and reduced slipping. Great for tough, outdoor jobs with a cushioned footbed that meant you could wear them all day. A good length in the leg and the top collar stopped the worst of the bedding and hay falling into the boots. Easy to clean.

Found the sizing to be slightly on the generous size. Nice to have the choice of stand and more vibrant colour options. Stood up well to regular wear with no signs of unexpected damage. Kept feet really warm – if you suffer from cold feet these will really help you out in freezing temperatures. Comfortable and very grippy, making them excellent for walking on all surfaces even wet grass and mud. Have proven to be hard wearing and versatile but best suited to colder conditions.

Comfortable boots even after long periods. Didn’t need wearing in. Easy to get on and off. Shorter in height than some but still offered protection from the wet and mud, although would’ve preferred a taller boot for carrying out yard jobs. There are some small signs of wear to the tread but overall they’ve stood up well to mucking out and long-distance walking/ They were quite warm, which made them more suitable to colder temperatures. Simple to clean, you can wash off the rubber boots and brush over the neoprene upper.

I wore them to ride in the pouring rain and the silicone seat and knee gave me good grip. They’d suit a taller rider due to the long leg length and the fit was snug, but not too tight. The foot straps and silicone grips were handy when riding, as the trousers then didn’t ride up my legs. The poppers and zips were secure and the Velcro straps on the waistband were useful. I’d have appreciated pockets.

We say…

I wore these for yard chores and to ride, and gave them a good test in an extremely heavy downpour out on a two-hour ride. They kept me warm and dry, although a little water got through the zips on the legs. I found them a nice fit and the zips made them easy to put on over wellies or riding boots. I also liked the reflective piping.

The trousers were very comfortable, warm, waterproof and great for wearing all day even in cold, wet, windy conditions. I loved the zip and Velcro combination on the lower leg. They rode up a little, but not much. The zip phone pocket on the thigh is a good size and I found it very useful. Overall I’d say these are the best waterproof trousers I’ve ever worn.

Very sleek and professional looking. They fitted well over my jodhpurs and didn’t feel tight. A good length that allowed me to fit them over my long riding boots, they were truly waterproof and kept me well protected, but they’re not very warm. It’s worth noting that, although there were gaps where your undertrousers would have pockets, the trousers themselves don’t have pockets.

I was initially apprehensive about the colour, however the black colourway would be practical. They were useful for slipping over breeches to keep them clean at shows, and kept me dry during moderate rain. The full-length zip on each side made them easy to pull on and take off. They’re quite expensive for a product that’s not for everyday use, but seem well made and are smart.

They were a good fit over breeches and boots, and came up true to size. They were completely waterproof and I was pleased to find they were breathable, too. The elasticated foot straps stopped them riding up and the reflective strips were handy in low light. The silicone seat was great, but I’d have liked grip on the inside lower leg too.

I liked the look and fit of these trousers, and they kept me dry even in heavy rain. I wore them for riding and yard chores and they were comfortable all day. I particularly liked the fact the material didn’t rustle. The leg zips made them easy to put on and take off, and the popper fastenings at the ankles offered a snug fit. The zipped pockets were a generous size, too.

My first impressions were that the material was quite thin and the leg rather wide. However, they kept me dry while riding and working on the yard. The reflective panels on the legs were great for hacking, and the two side pockets were deep, so things didn’t fall out. Ideal for warmer wet days, they’re quite long in the leg, so are well suited to taller riders.

The elasticated waistband made them comfortable to wear and leg zips meant they were easy to put on and take off. The sizing in the leg is fairly slim, so they’d be best suited to a slight frame. The seat offered great grip in the saddle, and overall the trousers kept me warm and dry. I was pleased to find the pockets easily held my phone, too.

I’d never had an adjustable helmet before and was a bit worried how it would work. However, the adjustment dial was easy and sufficiently robust to prevent the fit altering during use. Ventilation was good and I found the hat to be very lightweight. The lights are a nice addition and are quite subtle when turned on, although the flashing mode is bright enough to make drivers take notice. The hat was easy to charge (it came with a cable) and the battery lasted ages, which was helpful given you’re unlikely to use the lights every time you ride.

A pull-over style with no hooks or zips and racerback design makes it supportive as you move. The soft fabric provides a comfortable fit. There’s no pressure points and it lies close to the skin. Subtle enough to be worn under your competition shirt. You can’t adjust the straps, but found the sizing to be true to size. Perfect for everyday use, it washes well and dries really quickly. Also handy for gym use if needed, too.

Eye-catching design that offered a close, comfortable fit due to the compressive nature of the fabric. Mesh panels to the back, sides, shoulders and underarms allowed for extra airflow, although the back was quite revealing if not worn with a layer underneath. The grip hem was brilliant and stopped the top moving, even when jumping. This top really helped with staying cool and comfortable and the well-thought-out design ensured a good fit and great performance. Washed and kept its shape.

Great-looking top. Better as a layer on colder days, but it prevents you from getting too hot and so came into its own on the cross-country course. It was very breathable especially during intense training sessions. Comfortable to wear, although a looser fit in the shoulder than the rest of the body. It had a tendency to ride up sometimes, but overall performed well at wicking away sweat.

It offered a close, flattering fit and didn’t cling. Easy to move in and comfortable to ride in, even for long periods of time. The zip is handy for cooling off, or wrapping up from the elements. However, it’s starting to show some signs of wear, with bobbling on the material due to it rubbing on other garments. A great year-round top that’s smart enough on its own or sits well under a layer.

The internal structure ensured a snug fit and it stayed in place without restricting movement. Felt an improvement in posture when wearing. Material was thicker than some of the others, so best suited to cooler days. A close fit due to the nature of the top, so size up if you prefer a more relaxed look. After regular washing it shrank slightly. A smart top and worth the money if you need extra support.

Smart top with a fun but subtle pattern. The fabric was soft and comfortable and the top was light enough to be worn on its own or layered up in colder temperatures if needed. The breathable material worked best during warmer weather. It offered a close fit with no uncomfortable seams and it didn’t feel clingy or restrictive. It washed well, was quick to dry and the pattern shows no real signs of wear. Great value for a durable, everyday training top.

Stylish long-sleeve top that has been worn for a number of disciplines. It performed well under a competition jacket in the winter and on its own in warmer weather. The top was a great length that didn’t ride up and was easily tucked into breeches. The sleeves were a good length, too. Made with a comfortable material that stretched with your movement, so wasn’t restrictive. Has washed and dried well with no fading or staining and it’s showing minimal signs of wear.

Traditional style of boots that are easy to slip on and off. The supple leather and elastic sides allowed total freedom of movement while fully supporting the ankle. The sole offered great grip and the lining was breathable so feet didn’t get too hot. They’ve been worn daily for yard work and riding and still look smart with a quick clean. Felt a bit pricier than similar styles on the market but they’re versatile.

Very stylish boots that are true to size. Great for everyday use but would be smart enough for competition, too. Needed a minimal break-in period, however super comfortable after this point – could wear them all day long. Offered excellent grip in the saddle and on the yard and now my go-to boots. A fairly high price point, but the quality justifies the cost.

Very different in design and appearance to classic short riding boots. The knitted cuff needed a bit of effort to pull over your foot, but once on they were very comfortable. No breaking in needed due to the close fit of the material. Cushioned sole made them feel like trainers. Stable and secure in the stirrup while riding, though we’d recommend pairing with chaps.

An exceptional coat for the dedicated equestrian. Fantastic coverage keeps wearer and saddle totally dry. Its insulation’s thin but warm and breathable. Its internal and external pockets are deep and secure.

An unbeatably warm coat with storm cuffs. Pockets are fairly shallow with a single popper fastening, but the fleece-lined collar performed brilliantly on the yard and icy hacks. Generous, secure coverage.

Attractive design with a sturdy sole that’s warm and waterproof, ideal for yard use. Boots dropped around the ankle but didn’t lose much height. The solid rim at the back of the knee makes them ideal for longer legs.

“If you want a touch of pizazz in your wardrobe, these are the boots for you. Sizing runs slim and quite tall, and I spent time breaking them in properly so they’d stay snug once softened. This was worth it, though – they’ve remained fitted around the ankle, but are still flexible. The grippy stretch panel aids fit and is useful in the rain. They started out gorgeous but, with appropriate care, their appearance is actually improving over time. They’re definitely an investment, but one that doesn’t scrimp on quality or style.”

Combined with the soft leather, this meant they never rubbed or made me sore, even if I wore them all day. “I was able to ride in the boots straight away because they’re so supple, and the suede helped to keep my lower leg still, too. Unfortunately, they rubbed where the upper meets the foot section, and it was a few weeks before I was truly comfortable walking in them. The soft leather fits snugly around your leg, but the lack of a leather lining means they need boot trees to keep their shape. The leather polishes up well, while a suede brush tidies up the calves. For the price, they’re a budget boot that looks the part.”

I’ve hardly taken this jacket off during the test, and it’s seen me through hacking, lessons, yard work, walks and trips to town. It’s so lightweight and flexible that I often forgot I was wearing it, yet was still seriously warm. I never got sweaty, even if temperatures were mild, and it still looked pristine after some mucky yard jobs. It stood up well to wind and rain showers on its own, so I rarely needed anything over the top. At first I didn’t think I could justify the price, but it’s a practical and really versatile jacket. 

This is the best midlayer jacket I’ve owned. It’s windproof and breathable, and I didn’t get sweaty underneath. I was cosy without being too hot, and didn’t feel restricted at all. Nothing has stuck to it – not even dog hair. It’s smart enough to wear in town and, although designed with riding in mind, it’s very flattering, too. It has washed incredibly well and doesn’t take long to dry, which is very handy. I love this jacket and I wear it almost every day. I think it’s worth every penny and would definitely buy it again.

This jacket was really comfortable and warm without being too heavy. It’s also effective against light rain. It felt a bit bulky with another layer over it, but I could still manage it. After a wash, it dried quickly and looked as good as new. The material didn’t seem to attract dirt and was easy to sponge down if needed, and I loved the thumb holes. I wore it lots and didn’t look out of place away from the yard. I feel it’s on the expensive side for a lightweight jacket, but not ridiculous and you get a lot of wear out of it.

I absolutely love this jacket. It’s the smartest thing I’ve ever worn on a horse and looks super away from the yard, too. The style is flattering, comfy and kept me really warm, but still allowed me to move freely. I could wear a baselayer underneath, and it also fitted well under another jacket when it was raining. It didn’t pick up any hair or hay, and the pockets were big enough for gloves and a phone, although there was a bit of a bulge when the pockets were full. It looked like new out of the wash and was fast-drying, too.

This is my new favourite yard jacket. It’s really flattering, but not restrictive when riding and doing yard work. The design is really stylish – the padded body kept me warm, while the flexible arms offered great freedom of movement. Nothing stuck to the material, but the arms could show the dust. It was great on its own, but also fitted under a waterproof without being too bulky. The foldaway hood is a great feature. It’s expensive, but I feel it’s worth the money because it’s so versatile.

I’ve worn this jacket daily, either as an outer layer or under a jacket. I’ve even worn it around the house because it’s so cosy. It’s warm but still very light, and it doesn’t feel bulky under layers. The contrasting zip and bindings are a stylish touch. It’s easy to wash and quick to dry, and a stubborn-looking stain even came out on a low-temperature wash. I like the soft elastic at the cuffs and neck, but these have bobbled slightly. The jacket is well made and good quality, but I think the price is high for a fleece.

The jacket was really comfortable and not too bulky. I wore it in wet, cold, windy weather and on warmer days, and it coped admirably with both. The pockets are deep enough for a phone and keys, I had no issues with hair sticking to it, and it looked as good as new after a wash. The downside is that, as a layer, it appeared and felt as though I was wearing two main jackets. On the plus side, it looks really stylish, so is equally appropriate away from the yard, and I think the price is fair.

This is really smart and fitted perfectly, and the high collar was amazing at keeping my neck warm. I happily used it on its own and as a layer, although I didn’t need much else on top as it kept me toasty. It was smart enough to wear away from the yard and the quilted sections on the front and back made it stand out. The zipped pockets were big enough for my valuables and kept them safe. Overall, I was really impressed with the performance and look of the jacket, and feel it’s worth the money.

I was very impressed with the freedom of movement this jacket offered. The material is super-stretchy and offered no restrictions while riding or carrying out tasks around the yard, meaning it was comfortable to wear all day. It worked both under a heavier layer and on its own, so it’s perfect for year-round wear. The design is smart, stylish and flattering, although the pockets are a little on the small side. Hair, dust and hay brushed off easily, and it washed and dried very well. The price is a lot less than I was expecting, so I think it offers value for money. 

I found this fleece really comfortable. The sizing was true and it was very cosy. It was great to wear on its own as an outer layer and I was really surprised at how warm it was. As an underlayer, I didn’t need much on over it. The fleece dried quickly after washing and I found the zip pockets were handy to keep my valuables safe. Overall, I was very happy with the fleece – it’s a brilliant addition to my winter wardrobe and I think it offers great value for money. 

This fleece is a perfect weight for cooler days, worn on its own or with a gilet, and it works equally well under a jacket. I like the fitted style – it’s very smart, and a perfect length to ride in. The outer fabric doesn’t attract too much hair and it’s easy to sponge off if needed. Inside, the lining is cosy and soft, and I love the high neck that keeps the wind out. All the pockets are a useful size, with added security of zips on the outer ones. It’s a handy fleece that I’d buy again.

I loved this jacket, it was so versatile and I’d happily wear it away from the yard. I found it comfortable and easy to move and ride in, and it worked well as a layer. The cut is flattering and meant it didn’t ride up under other jackets. It doesn’t pick up hay or hair, and any dust easily brushed off so it stayed looking smart. The pockets are the perfect size, and the zips gave me peace of mind. It was simple, quick and easy to wash and dry. All in all, it’s the perfect midlayer for me.

The jacket was comfortable for riding and around the yard, and the shorter cut means it doesn’t bunch up when you’re in the saddle. The contrast panels and off-centre zip are stylish, so it doesn’t look out of place off the yard, either. I used it equally as a midlayer and on its own – it kept me super-warm on chillier mornings, but was great as a top layer on warmer evenings. The pockets were perfect for my phone or keys, and the thumb holes in the cuffs are a great feature for keeping warm.

This jacket is perfect for spring and autumn. It makes a handy extra layer on winter days, too, thanks to its thin, lightweight material. It’s highly breathable, acting a bit like a full-zip base layer. It washed well and, because of its technical fabric, dried quickly. The pockets were perfect for my phone and keys while riding and running. For the price, I think it’s great value for money if you’re looking for a lightweight layer, but it’s not quite warm enough to be worn on its own on cooler days.

 I really like these gloves – they kept my hands warm and dry, and the cuffs kept the rain and wind out. They aren’t bulky, which meant I could easily do fiddly tasks around the yard in them, and they offered excellent grip and feel on the reins while I was riding. However, I found the lining could slip a little. I’d buy them again because I think they’re versatile and good value for money.

I was impressed by these gloves. The palms were grippy, even when my horse was strong out hacking, and I had enough feel on the reins for schooling. They’re windproof and stood up well to rain. For such lightweight winter gloves, they’re really warm, but I’d have preferred a longer cuff, as I could get a gap between them and my jacket sleeves. Overall I think they’re great value and really smart. 

The gloves had a very good grip, which was useful for both riding and yard work. They’re quite thick, so I preferred to hack in them rather than wear them for schooling, but I could still carry out most yard tasks with ease. They performed well in the rain, and kept my hands really warm and dry. I’d purchase them again for use in wet weather. 

These gloves were very comfortable to ride in, with excellent grip and feel, and I was really pleased with how they performed. The mesh insert meant my hands didn’t get too hot, but it did allow the rain in and, because they don’t have a lining, I feel they’re best suited to warmer weather. However, they’re smart, and ideal for riding and competitions, so I’d buy them again.

These gloves were fantastic in cold, wet weather. Personally, I found them a little bulky for riding, but they were great for on the yard and generally being outside. The grippy palms were helpful for carrying heavy buckets and handling tools. I found them easy to slip on and off, and they’ve stood up well to wet, muddy conditions. For the price I thought they were good value for money. 

These gloves were very comfortable and grippy, even when it was really wet. They don’t keep your hands totally dry, but they’re designed to grip even when they’re wet through, which they do brilliantly. The mesh vents make them ideal for warmer weather and they’re tough enough to be used every day, but still smart to wear for competitions. I think they’re worth the money and I’d buy them again.

These were the best gloves I’ve ever had for grip, particularly in the wet. They resisted rain and, while not the warmest, were very breathable and flexible. I found them suitable to wear on the yard, too – the grip was second to none for handling tools. Although the design on the palms isn’t my usual style, I’d definitely buy these gloves again, as the flexibility and grip were the best I’ve had. 

These gloves were really comfy, and while they’re bulkier than my normal gloves, I still had sufficient feel on the reins for hacking and schooling. For a bulkier glove they’re pretty nimble and were fine to wear for most yard jobs, but I still took them off for fiddly tasks such as doing up my bridle or tightening my girth. I really rate them – they’re waterproof, windproof and really grippy, even when wet.

These gloves are really robust and perfect for around the yard. They’re ideal for very cold weather – very warm and waterproof. I found them a little bulky for my taste, particularly for riding, but the grip on the palms was great for leading horses in and out of stables without being too sticky. I thought the wrist straps were a really handy feature and I’d buy them again to wear on the yard. 

I liked these gloves and they kept my hands dry in the rain. Personally, I found them a little bulky for riding, but they’re great for yard work and keeping your hands really warm. These gloves were a bit stiff to ride in at first, but this did improve the more I used them. My hands stayed dry in light rain and didn’t get too sweaty on warmer days, but I feel they’re best suited to cooler weather. They were a little thick for undoing rugs and more fiddly yard work such as tying up haynets, but great for walking the dog and other general wear when it was chilly.

“The pink stitching and printed sleeves gave a feminine look, and the thicker material was flattering as it gave my body a smooth appearance. I got warm on hotter days, but it wicked away sweat and dried quickly. The only downside was the sleeve seams could irritate my skin if I wore it all day. It washed well and gave great freedom of movement.”

“I don’t know what I would have done without these boots this winter. They were warm, waterproof and very comfortable. Because of the length, they worked best with overtrousers. I love the splash of colour and think they offer value for money.”

Wearing the top and long johns didn’t restrict my movement at all, and they kept me much warmer than I was without them, especially if I was outside in the cold for long periods of time. They came with a useful carry case and have washed well, without shrinking or bobbling. The long johns were quite loose around my ankles, so tended to ride up when I put my breeches on. However, putting socks over the top solved the problem.”

“I really like the softness of the material, which washed well without shrinking. They were a good fit and stayed in place well, whether I was riding, doing yard duties or walking the dogs. The nature of the material means there isn’t much stretch, especially round the legs, so it’s important to get the right size.”

“The pattern on the seat is a gorgeous, eye-catching design with a very blingy emblem on the back that showed below my top. The silicone is really sticky so these breeches were great for dressage training, as I felt it helped keep me secure in the saddle. The fit and design of the waistband was comfortable and the elasticated ankles were perfect under long boots. They came up quite small, so I’d recommend a size larger than usual.”

“These boots were very comfortable right from the start and I liked that the adjustable straps on the calf made the boots easy to fit. They have a thick sole with good grip, so I felt confident walking through muddy fields. They kept my feet warm and dry, and that’s the most important thing for me on the yard during winter. They’re great as a practical yard boot, but don’t look particularly stylish!”

“I really liked how smart this jacket looks, and that it’s so warm and lightweight to wear. The fit was great and in spite of being padded, it has a tailored look and doesn’t feel too bulky. The details of the gold zip and gold logo give the overall look a nice lift, and make it much more eye-catching. I washed it several times and was very pleased that it came out looking as good as new.”

“I was very pleased with the quality of these wellies. I’ve worn them every day and they aren’t showing any signs of wear. I drove in them, too, which I’ve found often causes splits where the toes bend, but had no problem with these boots. I liked the adjustable sides as I could let them out to fit bulkier trousers. The sole was comfortable from the start, with a good grip, and I didn’t need a wearing-in period. They cleaned up easily and are completely waterproof. They are quite tall – I am 5ft 7in and felt the fit would be better if they were a few centimetres shorter in the leg.”

“I liked the fit and style of the briefs, and the padding made them very comfortable to wear, especially out on long hacks, or for sitting trot. They didn’t create any visible lines under my breeches, and I was very pleased that it wasn’t obvious that I was wearing padded pants! I wouldn’t change anything. They are quite expensive for a pair of pants, but I think the quality and the comfort make them worth the price.”

“I loved these boots! They are so stylish and comfortable, and I had lots of nice comments when I was wearing them. They fitted really well from the start, without causing any rubs or discomfort. The leather is excellent quality and they are beautifully made. I wore them a lot, both for riding and with casual wear at events and competitions. The zip was strong and sturdy, and did up easily, and the popper at the top kept it secure, which was great when I was using them for riding. Although the price of these boots is high, I would still recommend them as they’re so versatile.”

“These boots were very comfortable to wear and didn’t rub my feet at all. I mainly used them on the yard and for walking my dogs in the rain, as they had good grip in the wet. They’re pretty stylish for wellingtons, so I was happy to wear them if I needed to pop into town after being at the yard – after giving them a quick wash down with the hose they looked as good as new. They are made of good-quality materials, so they are brilliant value for money. Personally, I loved the electric blue colour, but it might not be the first choice for everyone.”

“The boots were true to size and very comfy from day one. Because of the zip and handles, they’re very easy to pull on and off. I was pleased that they kept my feet dry on rainy days, but they aren’t totally waterproof because of the zip. They were fantastic for yard work, had good grip in the mud and kept my feet comfortable all day. In warmer weather, I found them to be breathable. I also really like that they’re smart enough to wear away from the yard. I wasn’t sure about the style to begin with, but the comfort and quality is excellent.”

“The boots were true to size, and I was particularly pleased that they come in half sizes. They took a little getting used to as they’re quite robust, so feel heavier than other boots. The grip was fantastic on muddy walks and around the yard. They’ve worn well, with no slouching, and after a clean look as good as new. They’re neoprene-lined so are lovely on cold days, and kept my feet warm and dry, although on warmer days, even though they are moisture-wicking, I found them a bit too hot. They’re functional and do their job well, but didn’t feel very stylish.”

“The boots were very comfy, and I was happy to wear them for hours. I’ve worn them through downpours and walking around wet fields, and they were absolutely waterproof. They would be good for yard work, but they’re so nice that I have kept them for walks and horsey days out. They are expensive, but because of the top quality materials and technology they feel like a reasonable buy – especially as they look like they will last for years. It would be good to have the option of different calf fittings. The drawstring tightens them, but people with slimmer calves possibly wouldn’t get the look they were after.”

“These boots were true to size and a good fit. I especially liked the lacing down the side, which allowed for a larger calf and still looked stylish. They were comfortable right from the start and I had no rubs or blisters at all. I used them mainly for yard work, walking and light hacking. They are completely waterproof and, despite getting covered in mud, brushed up really well and looked good as new. They have a sweat control lining, which worked well and kept my feet from getting too hot. Because of the good design and comfort, I felt they were good value for money. I found that the grip wasn’t quite as good on very muddy ground, but on sand and firmer ground they were great.”

“The boots didn’t need any breaking in and were comfy immediately. The zip was easy to do up and I liked the reflective piping. I get really cold feet in the winter, but the fleecy lining in the foot and the neoprene leg kept me warm and cosy. The rubber part was easy to clean, and the sole was nice and grippy on the yard and in the mud. They were comfortable to ride in, too, and the reinforced panel on the inside to protect the neoprene worked well. Although the appearance isn’t to my taste, in terms of comfort and performance they are excellent value for money. The neoprene part was hard to clean, especially when removing the grease from my horse’s coat.”

“The boots were true to size and really comfy from day one. I’ve worn them on walks, on the yard and in all weather conditions, and they have kept my feet dry and comfortable. They’ve held their shape well and I was pleased that they haven’t slouched too much. Personally, I wouldn’t ride in them because of the ridged sole, but they are good for yard work and stylish enough to be worn for smarter country days out. I found that the inner soles tended to come out when I took them off and although I like the lace drawstring feature, it’s very thin and the bow slips undone.”

“I found these boots came up quite big. However, I liked that in colder weather I could wear thick socks without them being too tight. I get very cold feet, so I really liked that they had a fleece lining. They were comfortable from the start and are totally waterproof. I even wore them wading through a river and had no problems with wet feet. They have a good heel for riding, but I found the foot a bit chunky for my stirrups. The sole was tough and they had good grip in the mud. I found they were quite wide around the calf, so I had to close the straps as tight as possible for a good fit. They also slouched down a bit more than I would expect.”

“These boots were true to size and fitted really well. There was no need to break them in, as they were very comfortable from the first wear. I washed my car, walked my dog through wet, muddy fields and bathed my horse in them, and impressively my feet stayed perfectly dry. The thick tread was great for walking through muddy fields and they were breathable, so no hot, sweaty feet. I’ve worn them nearly every day and they’re still as good as new. I wouldn’t change anything. I love the style, height of the boot and how comfortable they are.”

“The boots came up quite big, so I had to wear them with thick socks. The sole is really comfortable and cushioned, which made them great for long days. I used them mainly for yard work and walking. My feet stayed dry in the rain and didn’t get too hot on warmer days. They’ve got good, grippy soles, so are great for walking in muddy fields. They have slouched down a little bit, but this hasn’t made them any less comfortable. They still look smart, too, as the dark brown colour has stopped them from looking grubby. They rubbed a bit to start with as the seam at the ankle is quite hard, although this has softened with wear. It was important to keep the touch tape fastenings free from dirt, so they keep working well.”

“The boots were true to size and a good fit. They were a little bit stiff in the leg to start with, but softened quickly and haven’t rubbed or caused any problems. They are waterproof – I’ve hosed them off lots of times after walking through muddy fields and never had wet feet. I like that they are smart enough and comfy enough for outdoor days out. They are quite expensive, but have a good sole for grip and comfort, and haven’t slouched, either, so I feel they’re an investment that is worth the cost. I wouldn’t have chosen a mid-length boot, but I actually found that they were more versatile and looked smarter than I expected.”

“These boots were comfy to wear and true to size. They look smart, and the elastic inserts make them easy to get on and off. They’re waterproof, which makes them a great yard boot. They didn’t make my feet too hot when the weather was warm, but they also didn’t keep my feet that warm on really cold days, so I think they’re better as a spring or summer boot. They brushed up well once I’d left them to dry and I could wear them with my chaps to use them for riding. They’re quite chunky, so I didn’t like to use them for riding, even though they’re designed for this purpose as well as being a yard boot.”

“I found the boots came up quite big and I could comfortably wear thick socks on cold days. On really cold days they didn’t keep my feet that warm, but on warmer days my feet didn’t get hot, so they make good summer boots. I’ve worn them for lots of long days of walking, and they’ve kept my feet nice and comfortable. Despite all the wear, they still look smart and clean up easily. They’ve been great for yard work – the grippy sole worked really well in the mud and I love how supportive they are. I found that the panel behind the laces designed to keep the water out didn’t work particularly well, but the rest of the boot was totally waterproof.”

“I really liked that they were comfy from first wear and I’ve had no rubs or blisters, and no issues with wet feet, either. They’ve worn really well, the quality is good and they seem to be built to last. I really like how breathable they are – my feet didn’t sweat in them at all, and I liked the option of having a shorter boot that still offered good support and protection. Although you can ride in these boots, I found them quite chunky and mainly used them as a yard boot. I found they came up quite big, so I ended up with a size smaller than usual. I also found them quite heavy, but generally really liked them.”

“I really liked this bra. It felt comfortable and I thought it was true to size. It has washed really well, it’s still just as supportive and is still bright pink. I don’t think I would change anything – even though the five fastenings were a bit tricky to do up, they made the bra very supportive. The shape is good and the wider band underneath is flattering. I liked the pink, but it’s very bright so might not be everyone’s cup of tea.”

“I thought the fit and support of this bra was excellent. It hasn’t faded or bobbled in the wash, and although I thought the width of the band around my chest would mean it would crease, this hasn’t happened. The colour and design meant I didn’t mind it being visible under sports tops, and the racer back means no slipping straps or digging in, and it really distributed pressure to minimise marks left behind by the straps. It’s not particularly easy to get into, but even with a shoulder injury I managed fine.”

“There were no fastenings for this bra, so I was apprehensive about how easy it would be to put on and take off, but it was stretchy enough not to be a problem. It fitted well and I liked the shape it gave. I liked that it was really supportive, but still comfortable enough to wear all day. Perhaps a more breathable fabric would be beneficial for summer days, as it was quite thick.”

“I found this bra to be extremely comfortable. The material was soft and very supportive, and it didn’t deteriorate in the wash. It was a nice fit and I liked the shape that it gave. I would rather not have removable padding in the cups, as they tended to fold over in the wash and were fiddly to straighten out. Without them the bra felt less supportive and wasn’t quite as comfortable. “

“I really like the look of this bra. The cross-back is stylish, and the pattern is funky and fashionable. It was supportive but, having a large chest, I probably wouldn’t use it for very high-impact sports. I found the sizing was quite generous round the back. It’s also quite high at the front, so does show under some tops.”

“It was pretty comfy in general, with a good fit. I liked the thick band at the bottom and the straps were comfy. It washed well and the material didn’t deteriorate at all. It was quite supportive and even better when I used the racer back option. The clasp for this was easy to use and felt secure. I didn’t really like the shape that it gave and, having a large chest, I didn’t feel that it gave me enough support for higher impact sports, but for general riding it was fine.”

“The fit was quite tight, especially under my arms, but once it had been worn a few times and washed, it softened really well. It has washed quite well, the material still looks good and it’s still just as supportive. It’s a classic style with a flattering fit that I liked very much. I found that the clip on the back to pull the straps together took a bit of getting used to and it came undone a couple of times while I was riding. It’s quite difficult to make sure it’s done up properly.”

“The fit and design are good, with substantial and  comfortable shoulder straps. Being chesty, I find it difficult to find a sports bra that provides adequate support, but I was really impressed at how supportive it was, and it washed well. The only thing I’d change is the elastic that goes around your chest. It’s thin and the edge is quite scratchy, so it irritated my skin a bit. If it had a thicker, softer elastic here, it would be perfect.”

“They were waterproof, even when I dropped them in a puddle! However, they are very bulky to work in and hold reins.”

“These gloves were smart enough to use for both casual riding and at competitions. They fitted well, with stretchy material on the back of the hand for comfort when riding and reinforced material where the reins sit for durability. They washed well and feel like they will really last.  Although great for riding, they weren’t the warmest of gloves for general use around the yard and they lost some of their grip when wet.”

“They were very comfortable with a stretchy mesh patch across the knuckles, which provided unrestricted hand movement. They look smart for competitions with a strong fastening. The fingers seemed very long for a average person’s hand shape and finger length. Could be cold when worn in cold weather because of the mesh patch.”

“The design of these gloves makes it easier to close your fingers around the reins – they’re comfortable and a good fit. The sporty design may not appeal to everyone.”

“These look smart and are easily good-looking enough for competitions. They are comfortable and fit close to the skin, so you can do everything without taking them off. The elasticated wrist can rub if you overtighten it.”

“I really like the material – it doesn’t let the rain soak in, so never feels damp or heavy. I like the adjustable wrists, too. The inside zip pocket is really useful for carrying your keys, mobile and wallet without the worry you’ll lose them. The hood is far too big. I have to pull the cords very tight to gather it in, but even this isn’t enough to make it fit snugly.”

“I like this jacket a lot. It’s warm but not bulky, allowing for layers to be worn underneath. It’s extremely good in wet weather and the fabric is ideal for the yard.  In my opinion, the thumb loop cuffs are a bit of a pain when riding and working on the yard because they get grubby quite quickly.”

“I wore this jacket hacking in horrid weather and remained bone dry in it. The pockets are large, secure and waterproof. I find the style practical, but a little plain, and the articulated sleeves didn’t seem to do anything.”

“I liked that the sleeves were a little on the long side so when my arms were bent while riding, my wrists still got good coverage. It was really snug around my neck, which is great for keeping out draughts and light rain. The fabric is good for a water-resistant jacket. The opening to the pockets is quite tight but at least things didn’t fall out.”

It’s also a good length for riding, keeping the rain out very well. There’s a lovely fleece lining in the body of the jacket and in the pockets, but I was really disappointed that the sleeves weren’t lined and it meant my wrists got wet. “I like the shape and the silver detail against the charcoal. The zip tags are a good size to use even when wearing gloves. It washes well, dries quickly and shavings don’t stick to it. In heavy rain, the inside of the pockets got a little bit wet.”

“I really like that it’s not too heavy, but it’s still warm. I don’t heat up while riding in it. I also really like the adjustable waist cord so the jacket has some shape to it and is flattering. I would prefer adjustable wrists so that water doesn’t run up the sleeve when washing my horse off.”

“I love the extended neoprene-type cuff because it stopped water running up the sleeve when washing my horse. The material is really waterproof and doesn’t show any stable dirt. I prefer a fitted shape.”

The high collar is really nice. I would have preferred a jacket with a hood and I would have liked to see a few more technical features for the money.”

It was really warm and dry. I thought it came up a little small in size and I did manage to pull off a zip tag, but the zip remained intact.”
