“This saddle was everything I expected and more. I felt secure thanks to the deep seat and generous knee blocks, and there was no unwanted movement. The monoflap design offered a close contact feel and my horse’s shoulder was unrestricted. 

The saddle was a little narrower than I was expecting, with my horse needing a size wider than his GP saddle, but this was simple to rectify with the changeable gullet system. The supplied instructions were easy to follow, but don’t include the necessary screwdriver. 

The leather was supple from the start, meaning it didn’t need much breaking in, and the saddle worked well with my usual short girth and stirrup leathers. These were very easy to attach and remove, even in the confined space in the back of a horsebox, and they left very little wear-and-tear on the leather of the saddle. 

My horse has very sensitive skin – sometimes needing a belly bandage – and at first I was concerned about the girth straps rubbing him. However, the leather was soft enough that I didn’t need to worry. It cleaned very well using the Collegiate saddle soap and leather cream products, and looked as good as new after three months of regular use.

I’d recommend this saddle to anyone looking to purchase a dressage saddle and feel it offered very good quality for the price.”
