16.2hh 10 year old chestnut Thoroughbred gelding for loan

Advert for H.
Hostile – also known as ‘H’ is available for long term loan, due to work commitments meaning I do not have the time that he deserves. It has been a difficult decision to make, so please only enquire if you are genuine.

This may be a very long advert so I apologise in advance, I just want to include as many details as possible, so that it is clear what I am looking for, for him, and in any potential loaner.

H is a very sweet, loving horse, who you would not think is TB, I think he believes he is a big cob! However, he is still thoroughbred, so does need a competent and confident rider / loaner, ideally someone who is experienced with ex racehorse. H came to me straight off the race track, I have had him just over 2 years now, everything he knows currently is what he has learned along the way while being with me.
H hacks alone and in company, he is VERY good in traffic, however I do still always get off the road if possible when there is a tractor / lorry etc, and he is use to doing that so I figure it is the best option for him. H loads perfectly first time onto a lorry, I have never had any issues with this, he has only ever travelled in a lorry, so I do not know how he would load / travel in a trailer. H will stand to be brushed, he quite enjoys a pampering! He is happy to be bathed although the cold hosepipe can make him a little unhappy! H does not kick, although does feel the need to give you a little nibble now and again, he does not weave, or windsuck when in the stable, he can also live in or out although he does love his home comforts when it is raining!

H has great dressage potential, so I am looking for him to go to someone who is ready to get out and about competing, whether it be low level or slightly higher, he has not yet been to any competitions, as we all know, perfection takes time, and I have not had enough of it. H knows the basics, but he is also still learning, so I will be looking for someone who is able to continue with his education. H DOES NOT jump, and he will not be loaned to anyone that wants to jump, he believes he is way too pretty to be throwing himself around! All jokes aside, he does not enjoy it, and to be honest nor does he understand it, and this is not something I wish for him to do, he is very happy hacking, and looking pretty in the arena.

Now for the boring side of it..
I am not going to loan H to anyone under the age of 18, as I feel this is the sensible decision to make for him, and myself. H is in no way suitable for a novice, or anyone that is nervous, he is a very good boy.. but he is a thoroughbred!
Loaner is to be insured, and have him insured also. Full contract will be written up, and will need to be signed by both the loaner and myself.
Please do not contact me if you are wanting the perfect ready made unicorn, because that is not what he is .. YET! H is working very hard to get there, and he is doing his very best, but he does need a little help along the way.
We are based in Wiltshire, and he will only be loaned locally – I will want to keep in contact, and visits will be part of the agreement.
