16.3hh 14-year-old Project Horse

Selling from the field due to lack of time.
Golan is a 16.3hh 14yo bay TB gelding, previously raced but been with me for 3 1/2 years.
He has been out of work since November 2021. Unfortunately I am having to sell him due to unexpected personal circumstances but he could make a lovely horse in the right hands.
Golan needs a firm but compassionate rider to show him the ropes, he is generally okay but can test you if he thinks he can, especially out hacking. He is not dangerous but can be nappy when out hacking alone. Saying this, the more work he does, the better he becomes, and I unfortunately don’t have the time to give him what he needs. I truly believe he could be a lovely event or ROR prospect as he is a lovely build with lovely flashy paces, but needs someone to bring him on as such.
Golan had a leg injury on the 8th February 2021 from a kick through the fence but after 13 weeks box rest, he trotted up sound and has had no issues since.
Golan has no vices, but he can be head-shy when putting a bridle or head collar on straight over his face, there is a knack to putting it on!
Due to his racing nature, Golan also thrives on routine so a strict routine is a must for him, maybe a competition yard/part or full livery would suit him best.
Never clipped with me as he hasn’t been doing enough to warrant this. Needs some work with loading but will eventually go on a lorry or box.

No U18s, novices or dealers please, and a 5⭐️ forever home is a must.

He will make somebody a lovely horse in the right hands.Very sad sale as we have been through a lot together, so home much more important than price.
