Witness the pros in action and enjoy a family day out at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials
Set against the stunning backdrop of Blenheim Palace, the horse trials brings together elite riders and their horses from around the globe. Taking place from the 19–22 September, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Top-class competition
The Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials’ main feature is the four-star competition and it’s sure to be a spectacle as top riders battle it out to win the prestigious trophy.
Don’t miss the stars of the future in the young horse class and check out the hotly contested Riding Club and Pony Club eventer’s challenge. If you’re visiting the event on the Thursday or Friday, you’ll get to see the ROR Southern dressage championship, too.

Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials first took place in 1990. Lucinda Fredericks was the first-ever winner of the event, and there have only been two years that the event hasn’t run – 2008 due to bad weather conditions and 2020 due to Covid-19.

Plus, there will be loads of exciting demonstrations and displays in the Blenheim and Churchill arenas. These include falconry, mounted police, the Shetland Pony Grand National and liberty ponies – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
