Redwings Horse Sanctuary launches its brand-new podcast so supporters can hear all about the charity’s residents

Redwings Horse Sanctuary has announced its brand-new podcast series, Sounds of the Sanctuary. The weekly podcast will allow supporters to meet the charity’s residents, learn all about care in the sanctuary and hear from vets, carers and support teams who dedicate their time to giving every rescued equine the best possible care.

Not only that, but the team has produced a sister podcast – Field Notes – full of informative chats with the Redwings team. Supporters will hear their top tips for equine care and learn about common welfare issues.

Redwings Communications Manager Stephanie Callen said: “We’re so excited to share this project with everyone. The Redwings podcast presents a chance to hear directly from our hardworking equine welfare teams and meet our rescued residents – so it’s straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.

“From the vets and nurses who help our rescued horses back onto their hooves, to the carers and maintenance teams who tend to their daily care, and the rehoming teams who find them loving new homes – this podcast brings a unique insight into life at the sanctuary, which we hope will be enjoyable to Redwings fans, new supporters and horse owners alike.”

The first three episodes of both podcasts are now available to download from all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Sounds. Phoenix, a foal who suffered life-threatening burns following an arson attack, is the star of the most recent episode, with his vet sharing the latest news on his progress. Sounds of the Sanctuary episodes will come out on Mondays and Field Notes on Wednesdays.
