It’s festival season again and now you can enjoy one totally devoted to horses – and save money on your tickets, too

The countdown is on for the Bolesworth International Equestrian Summer Festival, presented by Al Shira’aa, which runs from 6–16 June, and it has something for everyone.

In terms of equestrian action, top international competitors will be taking part in CSI3* showjumping, as well as the LeMieux Puissance evening and the JCL Eventing Grand Prix spectacular. There will also be classes for young horses and ponies, and a chance for amateurs to show what they can do in their own international showjumping classes. And for some hotly contested fun, the Ride & Drive event sees pairs of international showjumpers battle it out in a relay competition both over jumps and behind the wheel of Lexus and Genesis cars.

Crowd pleasers

The legendary stunt rider Ben Atkinson will be wowing the crowds on the 15 and 16 June with his amazing display of horsemanship, and fans who upgrade their tickets can have the chance to meet him, along with his horses, on the Saturday and Sunday. And, in addition to Ben, there will also be the opportunity to meet equestrian influencers This Esme and Meg Elphick to find out more about their lives, experiences and their horses.

In keeping with the true festival spirit, there’s musical entertainment, too, with performances from Phats & Small, Rick Parfitt and the RPJ Band and Coyote, plus other headline acts still to be announced.

Complete festival experience

Of course, there’s also the shopping with stands offering a wide variety of items, such as fashion, gifts and lifestyle, in addition to top-quality equestrian goods. Other exciting attractions include the Gallagher Foal and Yearling Auction, the Bolesworth Champagne Enclosure, a funfair, hot air balloon displays, including night glows, and interactive zones for children and dogs, making the whole festival a real family event.

And if you want the complete festival experience, why not camp at the showground? Pitches are available for tents, horseboxes, campervans and motorhomes from Thursday 13 June through to Sunday 16 June.
