The Cotswold Cup Championships set to be help at HRH The Princess Royal’s Gatcombe Park

Held at Gatcombe Park on 11–12 September, the 2021 Cotswold Cup Championships will offer an exciting opportunity for grassroots competitors to enjoy a day out at the home of HRH The Princess Royal and Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. The winners of each class will also be awarded a whopping minimum prize of £1,000.

The Festival of British Eventing was established at Gatcombe in 1984, but it’s never held an unaffiliated event until this year. “I’m delighted that there’ll be horse trials over this part of the estate again, and especially to support this enterprising new grassroots competition,” the Princess said. “I hope competitors will be inspired by the setting and that it’ll give them something fun and challenging to aim at as sport gets going again after lockdown.”

The Cotswold Cup is a brand-new eventing series that offers grassroots riders the chance to compete at a handful of big occasion unaffiliated events across the Cotswolds, ending in an exciting final with huge prizes. There will even be 70cm qualifiers and a championship at Waverton House and Oxstalls, so riders of all levels can get involved.
