New ambassadors join the Petplan Equine team

Posted in News

Petplan Equine, one of the UK’s leading specialist equine insurance providers, announces three new ambassadors to join the team for 2018.

After the success of its ambassador scheme in 2017, Petplan Equine has decided to continue with seven of its current ambassadors and select a further three riders for 2018 from its own customer base. These riders are all well known in their local equestrian community, advocates for responsible horse ownership and are passionate about competing. They’re all armed with the task of helping promote the Petplan Equine brand, and to highlight the importance of responsible ownership and insurance in keeping horses happy and healthy.

Katie Preston from Kent, Heather Finlay from Tyne & Wear and Laura Graham from Shropshire join the remaining seven Petplan Equine ambassadors from 2017. The ambassadors compete across various disciplines and are true ambassadors of responsible ownership, which makes them ideal to promote the values of Petplan Equine.

The ambassadors will be provided with branded kit, as well as £500 towards competition entries and training costs. Media training will also be given to support them further in their equestrian careers.

Newly appointed ambassador, Katie Preston, commented “I feel honoured to have been selected to one of the 2018 Petplan Equine ambassadors and I’m really looking forward to meeting the rest of the team. I’m excited about the season ahead and grateful for the support that we’ll receive with our training. Working as a vet, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many insurance companies and find none easier to deal with than Petplan Equine. Insuring my own horses with Petplan Equine, I know that they’ll do everything possible to make things run smoothly. Their knowledgeable and professional service makes a potentially stressful situation very straightforward.”

The Petplan Equine 2018 ambassadors are:

  • AMY TILSTON from Mawdesley, Lancashire
  • CHARLOTTE WADLEY from Painswick, Gloucestershire
  • HEATHER FINLAY from Houghton le Spring, Tyne & Wear (2018 Ambassador)
  • JACK STANCOMBE from Malmesbury, Wiltshire
  • JULIETTE EDMONDS from Buntingford, Hertfordshire
  • KATIE PRESTON from Cranbrook, Kent (2018 Ambassador)
  • LAURA GORDON from Wick, West Sussex
  • LAURA GRAHAM from Shrewsbury, Shropshire (2018 Ambassador)
  • LYNDSEY RYDER from Bengoe, Hertfordshire

Lyndsey Ryder, who’s looking forward to continuing her role as a Petplan Equine ambassador said, “It makes me feel very proud to be supported by a company with such a great reputation. As ambassadors, we’ve all experienced making a claim and can be completely genuine about our experiences. With the training and support from Petplan Equine, I know my horse, Max, and I can make real progress in the forthcoming season.”

Holly Kirkham, Marketing Executive for Petplan Equine, added, “We’re delighted to continue working with seven of our current ambassadors, as well as welcoming three new ones to the team for 2018. During the application process, it was clear that Laura, Katie and Heather are true champions of responsible ownership, and are respected members of their local equestrian community. We’re looking forward to working with all ten ambassadors and supporting them on their equestrian journey.”
