Raise funds for equine charities while you shop – nominate your favourite cause now

Popular equestrian brand Harry Hall invites customers old and new to nominate their favourite charities to be in with a chance of receiving a year’s worth of donations

Harry Hall is once again looking to donate thousands of pounds to equine charities in need via their Charity Partners scheme. The scheme has been running for just over two years, and it that time over £30,000 has been donated to worthy causes. Previous charities who’ve benefitted from the scheme have included Hope Pastures, The Gambia Horse & Donkey Trust and World Horse Welfare. But now, it’s over to you to nominate your favourite charitable organisation.

All you need to do is visit the Harry Hall website or Facebook page between 1–14 December, where you can make your nomination. Then, on 16 December, Harry Hall will announce the shortlist of 10 organisations – at which point it will be put back to the public to vote to decide on the three winning charities, to be announced on 23 December.

The donations help the nominated charities continue to carry out the fantastic work that they do year in, year out, and can not only help with their general running costs but can help to fund special projects, too. Heather Armstrong, Director of the Gambia Horse & Donkey Trust explains more about how the support they’ve received from Harry Hall this year has helped them overcome challenges through a tricky period.

“In addition to rising costs everywhere, including The Gambia, most of our money is raised in the UK and the downward spiral of the pound means that we’re getting less when we send it out to The Gambia,” Heather explained. “Despite this, and thanks to the generosity of Harry Hall and its customers who have made some incredibly generous donations, we’re still here, and our teams are going out daily to help animals of all species in their hour of need”.

Making every penny count

How does it work, you ask? Well, when you join the Harry Hall One Club, arrange an insurance policy through them, or shop online with Harry Hall or via the Harry Hall Riding App, they’ll make a donation. This entails…

• donating 5p from every shopping order, as well as new membership and new insurance policies placed (excluding Pony Club)
• providing the option at checkout to make additional donations
• donating unsold clothing, equine equipment and supplements to their nominated charities (every six months, subject to stock and relevance to nominated charities)
• doubling one month’s donation amount twice over the 2023 period
• featuring their charities in the HH1C magazine, and they’ll support them on social media and on our website.
