Webinars highlight importance of good tack fitting

The Society of Master Saddlers to host welfare webinars for horse owners

Aimed at horse owners, the Society of Master Saddlers (SMS) is hosting two webinars to highlight the role that registered and qualified SMS saddle and bridle fitters play in the comfort and welfare of the horse. The one-hour webinars will be fun and informative and have practical advice for horse owner to take away.

Fit4Welfare Bridle Fitting will take place on Thursday, 30 March at 7pm. Hosted by Catherine Baker, a qualified SMS master saddler and bridle fitter, the webinar will look at the head anatomy of the horse and how it relates to bridle fit, as well discussing as the general rules of good bridle fitting.

The second webinar, Fit4Welfare Saddle Fitting, takes place on Thursday, 6 April at 7pm and is hosted by Steph Bradley, also an SMS master saddler. She will talk about the difference between a saddler and saddle fitter, when to call a qualified fitter and how horse owners can check their own saddles for faults.
