I’m so lucky to have been able to make my passion for horses into my career, and feel really privileged to be able to share with you some of the things I’ve learned along the way. Earlier this year Assistant Editor Sarah jumped on a zoom call with two experts. So far, a typical day-in-the-life in this job. But she came away from her chat with Emma Cornish and Helen Reynolds feeling totally inspired. It can be easy to focus on the work that a rider and their team put into getting horses to peak for a major event, but what about the work that goes on away from the yard to support those equine athletes? This is Emma and Helen’s specialty as Forge Manager and Thermoregulation and Cooling Manager respectively at the 2024 summer games, as well as many previous Olympics and Championships. They agreed to share their experiences in Paris with us, and it makes absolutely fascinating reading – you don’t want to miss it!
