June 2024 Issue
The June issue of Horse&Rider is here!
With summer tantalisingly near, we’re optimistic the endless rain of 2024 will be replaced with some sunny (but not too hot, thanks) weather. You know the sort – still, misty mornings followed by warm, breezy days. Perfect riding conditions. It’s not too much to ask, is it? Anyway – we live in hope. Whatever your summer plans with your equine friends, we’re here to help.
We chat competing with eventing superstar Piggy March – specifically how to work out when you’re ready to step up a level and how to prepare for the challenge. Assistant Editor Sarah loved revisiting her day with Team March when putting together the series that finishes this issue. Piggy’s advice is practical, inspiring and has left us feeling motivated. Whether you’re hoping to enter a local one-day event, fancy trying your hand at the Cotswold Cup or are aiming for BE Grassroots and beyond, her advice is equally applicable.
And don’t miss our summer health and soundness guide to help keep your horse feeling his best all season. Then – we can’t ignore them – come the flies. This issue, we tested fly rugs and gels, and we round up fly masks to help you win the fight against biting bugs. Plus, discover all about sacroiliac disease, learn how to get the most out of your long-reining sessions and feel confident hacking alone.
All this and more in the June issue of Horse&Rider – on sale now!
