Stunning Yearling (April baby) Colt
Was supposed to make 15-15.3h at most, but is now 14.2h, making it clear he will be bigger. Unfortunately he will be too big for me so i have made the decision of selling him.
Bought from a breeder so full history known. Dam is an Appaloosa and Sire is Trakehner x Cob. Lovely mix in breeding. Takes over his fathers looks, however has some Appaloosa features. Unlikely but may spot-out in the future.
Passported and Tetanus Vaccinated
Loves to live in or out, very polite in the stable and is very lovely to handle. Stands (tied or loose) for hours to groom, doesn’t mind being sprayed with mane & tail or fly spray, picks up his legs and quite enjoys his tail being brushed and plaited (makes him feel pretty) loves to run around in an arena or field. He’s bombproof with plastic bags, shaving bales being opened in his stable with him, umbrellas, bicycles being ridden in front of him, and balls being kicked about. He has done TREC with me, and was very interested and curious about all the obstacles – never put a foot wrong, even with the scary bull! Loves to jump in-hand or will jump a jump that is in the arena while he zooms about. He loves to play with yoga balls if you pass him one in the arena. Good to catch from anywhere. Good in traffic – has seen dogs, cars, tractors, lorries and lots of vehicles behind each other passing him and he stands there watching.
He is a very curios lad, so he will to go up to things and use his brain than be scared and bolt off or have a tantrum. Has loaded about 4-5 times and has always gone straight in very easily. Loves his feed and will do anything for food – so easily bribed if needed or as a reward. Comes running to the sound of a shaking bucket too.
Has 1 half-blue eye. And some wonderful paces that always makes hearts melt when he shows off his moves in the arena, and when he canters – he recognises which leg should lead where, so is always on the correct lead and if he wants to change direction he will do a flying change (or quite a few to show off) before going off on the correct lead again, which will surely help when breaking in.
Loves being cuddled, even when he’s laying down and loves walking on ice too! I would imagine he would have lots of fun in thick snow (he hasn’t seen lots of snow yet)
He’s also seen the horse walker on with horses in it and doesn’t really pay much attention. Will stand when you put him out in the field or arena until you take his headcollar off and say “okay, you can go” which is when the zoomies take over!
Usually stands very square most of the time, and sometimes does a beautiful outline while showing off his paces
Is very interactive and loves to play! Wether it be with company or humans.
He has also had rugs on him multiple times (buckled up) and so is used to it, he also likes to be dried with towels too! Finds it relaxing B)
Figured out very quickly that fly masks keep the flies away from his face – will stand still to put a fly mask on or an ear bonnet! – does not care about his ears being touched or rubbed
Prefers to eat hay in a haynet than on the floor, but will eat hay off the floor if there is no haynet in the stable.
Adores salt licks and lick-it products (especially cherry and apple flavour)
Please, please, please stay in touch! I would absolutely adore mini updates on how he is doing! Deserves all the love in the world. Forever home only please.
