Buying Guides

We’d all prefer to avoid wet, muddy days at the yard but when you live in the UK, that isn’t always an option. So, waterproof jackets are mandatory when it comes to an outdoor hobby. Our selection, worn around the clock by our team of testers, is made up of lightweight garments perfect for layering if you feel the chill, or to pair with a thin base on milder days. See how they fared and find your perfect coat here.

Our testers: We all know that horse ownership doesn’t stop just because of a few grey clouds, so our testers wore these jackets for a variety of yard duties, hacking and schooling sessions, dog walking and more. As well as taking note of how well these jackets kept the rain out, our testers kept their activity levels high to see how breathable they were – overheating is a big no-no if you’re halfway through a jumping lesson.
