The products

Roeckl Wynne
Insulated glove with knitted cuff and elasticated wrist.
We say…
True to size. Lightweight and slightly stretchy, with a long cuff. Easy to pull on/off and fastenings offer a secure, comfortable fit. Quite bulky, but didn’t limit ability to carry out fiddly tasks. Really warm and seemed waterproof, even in wettest weather. Very durable, have worn well.

SSG 10 Below
Stretch outer with digital palm fabric, Thinsulate lining and polar fleece.
We say…
True-to-size but thick material so a snug fit. Long cuff kept warmth in and dirt out. Easy to pull on/off, with an adjustable wrist. Fiddly jobs were tricky, but performed very well – so warm and totally waterproof. No signs of wear.

Dublin Synthetic Leather Thinsulate Waterproof
Technical outer, Thinsulate lining and extended cuff.
We say…
True-to-size palm, but slightly shorter finger length. Thin material meant fiddly jobs were no issue. Easy to pull on/off and the cuff prevented wind chills and dirt getting inside. Kept hands warm and dry throughout winter. No signs of wear.

Fetlox Polartec Thermal
Made from Polartec fleece fabric with grippy palms.
We say…
True-to-size. Stretchy material provided a comfortable, close fit and not too thick, so great for all yard chores. Easy to pull on/off. Kept hands warm in all conditions. Grip is still in good condition, but some signs of wear on the stitching.

Elico Longford
Serino palm with 3M Thinsulate fabric.
We say…
True-to-size and material had some stretch, providing a close fit. Velcro strap was easy to use and adjustable. Not too thick and had good grip – great for all yard jobs, even fiddly ones. Kept hands warm and dry. No signs of wear.

LeMieux Thermal Work
Thick material with a soft fleece inner lining.
We say…
Come up slightly small initially, but loosened with wear. Soft inside so very comfortable. Easy to pull on/off. Great for all but the fiddliest yard jobs and hands stayed really warm and dry. No signs of wear other than moulding to hands slightly.

Coldstream Duns StormGuard
Water-repellent softshell upper with a grip palm.
We say…
True-to-size but spacious around the palm. Thick and warm, but not bulky, so could do fiddly jobs easily. Velcro strap could offer more adjustment. The outer seemed to soak up some water, but it never seeped through so hands stayed warm and dry. Longer wrist was a bonus. No signs of wear.

Woof Wear Winter Yard
Breathable membrane with 80g insulation and a contoured palm print.
We say…
Spacious around the palm but good finger length. Stretchy, longer cuff provided a close fit and kept wrists warm. Easy to pull on/off, but the thick material made fiddly tasks difficult. Great insulation on really cold days and waterproof. Worn very well.

Hy Equestrian Thinsulate Rainstorm
Water-repellent with a silicone grip and Thinsulate lining.
We say…
True-to-size with a longer cuff. Easy to pull on/off, with an adjustable wrist above the cuff. Very warm, with good grip. The fabric is thick, but not stretchy, so not as well suited to fiddly jobs. Some signs of wear after heavy regular use.

Aubrion Winter Work
Non-slip palms and a warm loop construction lining.
We say…
True-to-size with a snug fit around the wrist. Flexible, but not stretchy. Easy to pull on/off. Great for general yard chores but too bulky for fiddly jobs. Kept hands dry, and warm in all but the coldest conditions. No signs of wear.

eGlove eQUEST Waterproof
Waterproof up to the cuff with a thermal lining.
We say…
True-to-size around the palm, and well suited to those with longer fingers. Pull-on design was comfortable and the cuff had a close fit. Lightweight material wasn’t bulky. They fitted under coat sleeves and it was easy to carry out fiddly jobs. Kept hands warm and dry at all times. No signs of wear.

SSG Winter Lined Digital
Grip technology on the palm with a fleece lining.
We say…
Good finger and wrist length, although larger in the palm than some. Material has some give, so doesn’t restrict you when riding. Great grip in all conditions and hands stayed warm in all weather and, despite thicker material, still gave a good feel on the reins. Durable, functional and wash well.
