Overview

She is being sold due to no fault of her own, but we are unable to provide the exercise and attention she needs due to being busy and focusing on my new horse. Penelope is a 8 year old 12.3HH typical WELSH C MARE, who has a sweet and kind nature.She is a 1st pony , that adapts to her rider and is willing to do anything she is asked with the confidence of her rider, but is not a pony to just do it all for you .She is a fantastic ALL-ROUNDER, that will give anything a go, from dressage to xc to beach rides, she loves to jump and can easily pop round a 50-60 cm course, but is able to achieve higher with the right rider. She can hack alone or in company, but can be nervous when seeing new things when out hacking alone ,she is fine with dogs, farm machinery, cars and cyclists .She has taught many kids to ride and knows when to step down or step up regarding to the rider. She has been ridden by 5 to 12 year olds and takes everything in her stride. Penelope has done pony camps, pc activities , group lessons , arena hires and multiple competitions. She is a dream to load, travel, stand for farrier/dentist and to be clipped. She loves a groom or a bath and will stand there for ages and be fussed over. She isn’t a tricky horse but can have her moments, but she is just the sweetest and sassiest pony. She can be left in a field for weeks, and is easy to bring back into work, which has been proven earlier this year, as we turned her out at the end of September and brought her back into riding in February and she picked it up straight away . She is currently being ridden as often as we can , at least 4 times a week .She behaves impeccably when out at shows , arena hires, xc or open spaces. Penelope knows how to pick her feet up, and loves pole work and grid work, but is happy with just being schooled .She is ridden in a snaffle at all times and never bolts or rears.She is a hardy pony and is happy to live in or out on grass. Penelopes next rider, needs to be a confident child or small, light adult , who wants to improve or progress in there riding but has the confidence to push her on, aswell as having fun ..Penelope has 3 steady paces , but can blast into that 4th pace when being asked .She Is completely up to date with everything , no vices or health issues , she is a healthy and happy pony .
This is an extremely hard and sad sale, due to Penelope being my first pony and the pony that brought me on and gave me the confidence to be where I am now .She is a cracker of a pony and will take the right person far. She will be missed dearly and we would want to stay in contact to see how she is getting on, due to having so much love for her.
