BRC Combined Challenge Championships 2022

The first NAF Five Star Combined Championships took place from 21–22 May at Aston Le Walls Equestrian Centre in Northamptonshire and was a roaring success with organisers already looking ahead to the 2023 event

British Riding Clubs launched the Combined Championship in partnership with NAF to give both senior and juniors riders the chance to complete and have fun. It consisted of Combined Training where riders took part in dressage and showjumping with a combined score dictating their final placings. As well as the new format, Combined Challenge, which featured a showjumping round followed immediately by a cross-country round with heights ranging from 70cm-100cm.

Eloise Chugg-Martin, Sponsorship and Events Manager at NAF said: “We saw some fantastic Senior and Junior combinations in both the Challenge and Combined Training Championships. It’s so lovely to see how far teams travel to compete and hearing cheers of support ring out around the grounds cannot fail to bring a smile to your face. The Challenge is such a unique event to Riding Clubs and we really look forward to watching it develop over the coming years.”
