These gloves are great for everyday use, but still smart enough for competitions. They were quite tight when I first used them, but over time they gave a bit. The sizing comes up quite small, so I’d recommend ordering one size larger than normal. They aren’t bulky, offer good grip and were comfortable to wear. They also did a great job of keeping my hands warm in cold weather without making me hot in the summer. Despite being very expensive, there are extra technical elements to the material – the silky inner layer kept my hands warm and improved my circulation, without the bulk of a thicker glove, so my feel on the reins was much better.
How much do you know about stereotypies? This is the scientific term for any repetitive behaviour. In horses, the most common are crib-biting, windsucking, weaving and box walking. In May Horse&Rider, Dr Debbie Marsden shares her advice for dealing with stereotypic behaviours. Check out a sneak peek here. www.horseandrideruk.com/the-magazine/issues/may-2024/force-of-habit/...
