Adorable Christmas animation highlights the importance of a strong bond

Brooke Action for Working Horses and Donkeys have released an uplifting animation featuring a Dragon’s Den star

The heart-warming new Christmas animation ‘The Greatest Gift’ from Brooke Action for Working Horses and Donkeys tells the story of how love and building strong relationships can heal the bodies and hearts of working animals.

The short film features three friends – Dinky Donkey, a character from last year’s animation, Harry the horse and Molly the mule – who, after being saved by a young girl, have the chance to give back. The video highlights the importance of a horse-human bond and demonstrates that if animals are shown love, they’ll love in return.

The animation also features a voiceover from Dragon’s Den star and Brooke supporter, Deborah Meaden. Talking about her involvement with the charity, Deborah said: “I was very pleased to support Brooke again. As a horse owner myself, I think the bond we have with our animals and the understanding that gives us of their needs is incredibly important. Frequent climate-related shocks, like the floods we saw in Pakistan this year, showed us that working horses, donkeys and mules need our help more than ever before.”

And that’s where Brooke comes in. For over 80 years, the organisation has been focused on improving the lives of working equines in low- and middle-income countries worldwide. The horses, donkeys and mules are used to support the livelihoods of millions of people and Brooke continues to make long-lasting welfare improvements to these animals’ lives.
