New scheme rewards frequent competitors at BEDE Events fixtures
If you’re mad keen on eventing, a new scheme means your competition schedule could just get cheaper! BEDE Events has launched a loyalty card programme that allows frequent competitors at its British Eventing fixtures to a free start on every sixth entry.
Each card earns points for every competition entered, with cards being attached to the horse, not the rider, which means that an individual horse can still gain points even if ridden by more than one competitor. Furthermore, because of this, a rider can hold several cards – one for each of their horses.
To gain points, cards are stamped at each event entered and once the card has five stamps, the competitor riding the relevant horse will be eligible for a refund of their start fee next time they’re out together.
BEDE Events Director, Stuart Buntine, commented: “We’re always looking at new and innovative ways to encourage more people to British Eventing fixtures. We appreciate the costs of competing have been on the rise and this is our way of giving something back to those who support our events on a regular basis. After all, we all love getting something for free.”
