BE100 competitors to have chance to compete at CCI1* event

A new league for BE100 eventing competitors is taking place across six competitions this season, culminating in a new CCI1* class at Osberton International Horse Trials that runs from 27 September to 1 October 2023.

Sponsored by equine insurance specialists Agria Lifetime Equine and run by BEDE Events, the prize pot for BE100 series will total £1,500 and the overall winner will receive an Agria Sponsored Rider package for one year to include branded kit and a photoshoot, an Agria-branded Bucas rug and a training session with one of Agria’s four sponsored British Team riders. Prize-giving for the league will be held alongside the CCI1* prize-giving in the main arena.

Members of British Eventing who haven’t competed at Intermediate or above in the past five seasons are eligible for the league. Points are collected by horse-and-rider combinations in any BE100 class across the six events and in the finale. Pre-registration is required and points for events completed prior to registration cannot be included.

The BEDE participating events for 2023 are:

  • Oasby (1): 9-12 March (entries open 3 February)
  • Agria Shelford (1): 28-30 May
  • BCA: 10-11 June
  • Catton Park: 17–19 June
  • Brightling Park: 1-2nd July
  • Agria Shelford (2): 26-28 August
  • Osberton International: 27th September–1 October (CCI1* Final)

Stuart Buntine, director of BEDE Events, said: “We’re pleased to host this new league across all of the BEDE BE100 fixtures. The new CCI1* at Osberton will run with showjumping as the final phase, giving the riders a great destination fixture to end the season with.”

Pre-registration for riders is now open here.
