A new docufilm follows man with physical disabilities as he treks on horseback to Everest Base Camp

Coming to cinemas in April is the incredible documentary My Everest that features Max Stainton-Parfitt, who has physical disabilities, in his mission to trek to Everest Base camp on horseback. Max takes with him a crew of friends in the world’s first trek of this kind. As the realities of the trek dawn on him, he is forced to put his body through incredible pain and question his original motivations for the challenge.

Set in the stunning scenery of the Himalayas, this compelling documentary shows Max’s life as a disabled man and how he tries to defy the expectations of society, as well as explaining why he felt he had to prove himself to the world.

As a passionate rider and supporter of the Riding for the Disabled, Max used this trek to help raise money for the charity.

My Everest opens in cinemas on 28 April.
