The Osborne Studio Gallery specialising in equine art celebrates 25 years on Motcomb Street

From 19 April to 13 May, the Osborne Studio Gallery will celebrate 25 years on Motcomb Street, Belgravia, by selling 25 works of art by 25 different artists. Director-founder Geoffrey Hughes will be selling paintings and sculptures that will stand the test of time, unaffected by changes in fads or fashion.

The gallery specialises in equestrian art as well as landscape, seascapes and scenes of city life. It is recognised as the most important source of equestrian painting in London.

Geoffrey has spent many years discovering and nurturing his artists and three of his most successful have a love of horse racing, with some paintings featuring in the collection of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Also on display will be a light-hearted racing painting by Elie Lambert, the ‘Lowry of the racing world’, whose work appears in the collection of Sir Peter O’Sullevan, ‘Voice of Racing’ and former chairman of Osborne Studio Gallery.
