With winter well and truly upon us, there isn’t long to wait until the highlight of the jumping season – the world-famous Cheltenham Festival. Thousands of racing fans from all walks of life come together for four days of celebration of the Thoroughbred at the beautiful venue on the edge of the Cotswolds. Cheltenham offers an atmosphere that makes even the most hardened fan jump for joy.

The Cheltenham Festival (13–16 March 2018) sees some of the finest horses come together to compete for the glory and honour that comes from a win at this world-famous racing festival, but runners must qualify to compete at the meeting.

The Cheltenham trial meeting (27 January 2018) is likely to see the usual suspects, subject to injury and fitness, of course. However, all being well the likes of Thistlecrack, Melon, Defi du Seuil and Douvan (who pulled up last year with injury in the Queen Mother Championship Chase), Sizing John and Altior (twice a winner at Cheltenham) are all likely to take part.
