Nominations for the annual BETA awards open to recognise the best in the equestrian industry

Once again, riders, owners and others in the horse world have the chance to support their favourite equestrian business in the annual British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) awards. These trade awards are designed to celebrate the best the equestrian industry has to offer and who better to nominate these outstanding businesses than the customers themselves?

For the 2024 awards, you have the opportunity to nominate businesses in four main consumer categories and the winners will be announced at the BETA Gala Dinner to be held on Sunday 22 September.

The categories open to consumers are:

Safety Equipment Fitter of the Year Award sponsored by BETA. This award recognises excellent hat and body protector fitters. The deadline for nominations in this category is 30 June 2024.

Zebra Products Retailer of the Year. This award is divided into three – Equestrian Retail Store, Online/Mail Order Retailer and Best New Retailer – to celebrate the diversity of the retail side of the industry and also new businesses starting out. You can nominate your favourite stores in any or for all three awards until 23 June 2024.

Stubbs England Nutritional Helpline of the Year. This award rewards excellence in nutritional advice and service, helping customers to make the best choices for their horses. If you want to nominate your favourite helpline, the deadline is 23 June 2024.

Equine Fitter Award. Including saddlery, bits and bridles, this award recognises the important work that fitters do. For this award, you can nominate both employed and independent fitters, with a deadline of 16 June 2024.

Executive Director of BETA Claire Williams said: “We’re really excited to launch these awards for 2024. We see them as a great opportunity to celebrate the industry and highlight the high level of professionalism and dedication that runs throughout those who are real ambassadors for the trade.

“After the nomination process, each award has additional judging in the form of secret shoppers, mystery calls and panels as appropriate, so rest assured that the winner really has earnt it!”

All awards can be nominated through the BETA website https://www.beta-uk.org/pages/awards/betas-2024.php where additional information is also available.
