Newly launched eventing series focuses on competitors aged 45 and over

Supplements brand BETTALIFE has launched a new veterans’ eventing series in conjunction with the Event Horse Owners Association (EHOA), which is an organisation that increases horse owner benefits and also has a close relationship with British Eventing (BE).

To take part in the Veteran Eventing Championship, you’ll need to register your eligibility with the EHOA by sending your name, BE registration number and the name of the horse you wish to compete on. Registration is open from now until September 2023 and you’ll be awarded points for each BE competition you ride and are placed in. You must complete five competitions in total to be considered for a placing in the veterans’ series. Each placing from first to ninth has its own points to accumulate.

There are some be great prizes to be won, with a first prize of £500, a trophy, rosette and BETTALIFE products. The runner-up will receive £250 plus a rosette and products. In addition, the highest-placed rider aged 60 or over will take home £100, as will the EHOA member with the highest placing.

BETTALIFE director Ryan Millar said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with EHOA this year for the Veteran Eventing Championship.”
